Stefanija Ališauskienė, Doctor of Social Sciences (Education Studies), professor, Vice-Rector for research of  Šiauliai University, Editor-in-Chief of Special Education journal, also works for the Department of Special Education, delivers lectures at universities in Lithuania and abroad, in 2003 had a secondment at Oxford University. S. Ališauskienė is a member of Association of Speech Therapists of Lithuania, a member of European Academy for Childhood Disability (EACD) and Association of Early Intervention of European Countries (EURLYAID), a member of Expert Working Group of European Agency for Early Intervention, a member of Pre-school and Primary Education Expert Group of the Ministry of Education and Science of Lithuania. Research interest spheres: early childhood intervention, psycho-social situation of parents bringing up children with developmental disorders, collaboration between parents and specialists in the situation of early intervention, inclusive education.
